The WonderLab Collective (TWC) is a student-led initiative which hopes to rethink how physics is introduced and experienced by students in low-resource learning environments. Built on the belief that science is best understood through doing rather than memorising, the project seeks to create ways for students to engage with concepts through simple, experiment-based learning. It brings together elements of activity-based content, hands-on materials, and guided facilitation to make the foundations of the subject; both accessible and exciting.
In its early stages, TWC is focused on developing a set of interconnected resources, like a student-facing activity book, low-cost experimental kits, and a structured guide for educators. These will work together to support both independent exploration and classroom-based learning. Alongside this, we also aim to pilot a workshop and small group activities that encourage students to build, test, and reflect on their understanding.
