Varenyaa Jain is a student at Charterhouse School, where she studies Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics as part of her A Level curriculum. Her interest in science has grown steadily over the years, through hands-on exploration; be that that through attending the Michigan Math and Science Scholars program, where she studied astronomy and observational science, or interning at ITER, where she was exposed to large-scale research in fusion energy and material science. Alongside this, she is actively engaged in research projects across areas like solar energy, medical imaging, and aerodynamics, and is a member of her school’s STEM Society as well.
Beyond academics, Varenyaa has explored creativity and initiative through co-founding Chokoreto, a student-led venture focused on vegan, preservative-free desserts, alongside training in speech, drama, and Kathak.
For Varenyaa, science has always been most meaningful when it is experienced, not just studied. Through The WonderLab Collective, she hopes to share that feeling with others like her that might have the same passion for science, but not the opportunities or support. Her ultimate goal? Creating spaces where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and learning begins with.. as the name of TWC suggests.. a sense of wonder.
